Our Kind of Race
The NESCAC Cross Country Championships were this past weekend at the Cac’s very own Bowdoin, home to the fastest (and flattest) course around. It was an epic day to be sure. In the women’s 6k race, Amherst senior Keri Lambert won in a super speedy course-record-breaking time of 20:33.45, nearly 50 seconds ahead of the next competitor, Addie Tousley of Middlebury. Overall, Williams would claim the women’s team title, with Middlebury in 2nd, Amherst in 3rd, and Tufts and Bates tied for 4th.
For the men, Bowdoin’s Coby Horowitz covered the 8k course fastest in a time of 24:26.78, just edging out Matt Rand of Tufts. Rand’s team would take the title for the men, followed by Middlebury in 2nd, Bowdoin in 3rd, Bates in 4th and Williams in 5th.

**Note: the Williams bear was spotted, snuggled within the arms of his own Ephs. He is safely home…for now.
