Coming Out in the ‘Cac

Behind our red brick veneers, age old traditions, cutting edge intellect, and alcohol infused soirees, our liberal arts bubble is one of the most inclusive and support places in the country. Next week is Coming Out Day and here at the ‘Cac we were hoping to hear from you! Coming Out day, historically October 11, is a day for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer persons to come out in solidarity for their community! It has also turned into a time for Straight Allies to announce their support.

What does it mean to be out on your campus? Did you come out in college? Were you out since birth? How have your friends, teammates, professors reacted?
If you are not in the LGBTQ umbrella, are you an ally? Do you support your friends who are queer?
