Tufts ’94 Grad New Director of US Olympic Sailing
Josh Adams, Tuft ’94, has become the managing director of the U.S. Sailing program. Adams is a familiar figure in the industry, serving on US Sailing’s Olympic Sailing Committee and as the publisher of Sail magazine.
Adams is in a tough position, says Sailing World, assuming his new position after a disappointing 0 medal performance at the London Olympics. Some have associated Adams with the old guard that allowed this uncharacteristically poor outcome. However, the former All-American Jumbo tells Sailing World:
“I’m pretty confident in my ability to lead, and to lead a new strategy for this program, and to make changes where change is necessary. I think that over time, people will have a larger body of work from me to judge. At that point, let them judge away.”
