Tufts Lax Featured In New Book

Jumbo Athletics is reporting a major shoutout to their men’s lacrosse team in a recent book by the heads of Meno Consulting:

“In a chapter titled ‘Achieving Success,’ Team Turnarounds explains how Coach Daly and the Jumbo program define success as a way of life. After taking the reins of a team that had not won a conference game in two years, Daly and his staff guided Tufts to winning the NCAA championship in 2010. However, beyond the tools used to reach that milestone, the chapter focuses on the program’s approach to this success as a beginning.”

Team Turnarounds comes recommended by Tufts alum Dan Kraft of the Kraft Group, and one of its authors (Daniel Leidl) has been a Tufts masters student and assistant lacrosse coach.

Leidl spoke to Business News Daily about the intersections between business and athletic success strategy:

“‘In both worlds you look at groups of people trying to achieve goals, and they have to operate and work together in an effort to ultimately achieve their goals and be successful. To a large extent that’s not unique, but it feels unique. That concept is sometimes eye-opening to people—we’re trying to work side by side so we all can win.’”
