The ‘Cac Dominates Field Hockey Rankings
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released their preseason rankings for Division III programs today.
The ‘Cac dominated, placing five schools on the competitive list.
2. Bowdoin College
3. Middlebury College
12. Amherst College
14. Tufts University
15. Trinity College
Full rankings here.
Last year, The College of New Jersey defeated Middlebury in the NCAA Division III championship, 3-1. As national champions in 2007, 2008, and 2010, Bowdoin will look to regain some of its former glory this year after being knocked out in the semi-final round in 2011.
Middlebury and Amherst both advanced to the quarterfinals in last year’s tournament and will be looking to improve on their performances this season.
Perhaps we’ll see an all-Cac national championship?
