Conn Prof Contributes to Moonrise Kingdom Score

After seeing Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ and loving it, I feel compelled to share Conn’s tweet that one of their professors was involved in making the musical score.

Professor Jarvis, who specializes in percussion and chamber music, has been at Conn since 2008. For the film, Jarvis and his Drum Corps perform Mark Mothersbaugh’s composition ‘Camp Ivanhoe Cadence Medley’–which will make a whole hell of a lot more sense if you actually see the film.

The soundtrack is all about classics–literally–but this one’s classic in its own way too. After all, young protagonists must always advance their plots with the seriousness of war–always.

Anyway, if you can stand the color mustard, have a nostalgia for faux-Nantucket in the 60′s, or like stories about human relationships (wahhhht?) don’t miss this one.
