Amherst Blog Lifestyle Opinion Photography Williams
Out In the (New England) Country
Not a whole lot goes on around in central NH (the nearest gas station/store is a 10 minute drive either way), and without the internet capacity to keep up with the popular world, things can get a little small-town. Amherst isn’t the only bubble. You know you’re in rural parts when the only funnies are about large animals…
And the neighbor’s yard could be the next best landscape painting.
It’s not too bad being cut off from the world when what’s in front of you can inspire (or make you chuckle in pity).
Speaking of pitying laughter, a (grayscale) Williams rep was found wandering around these parts…
NOTE: You may notice many of my posts are somewhat personal in nature. While the ‘Cac is intended to share broader news stories, art, music, opinions and ideas across the NESCAC, I also find it important to give this blog a little local flavor. With our increasing globalization and use of technology today, it’s easy to lose some of the smaller, seemingly trivial stories, the individual moments that make up all of our lives. Humanity is often portrayed in the smallest actions of kindness, humor, learning, or even monotony; with these posts, I hope to preserve some of that.
