Former Trin Captain, Amherst Coach, Joins Orlando Magic Management

@JohnnyHalas ’05 still holds records in Bantam basketball. According to D3 Hoops, “He is the all-time leader in three point field goals made (208) and is the only player in Trinity history to record three seasons of 50 or more three-point field goals made.”

The four year starter and two-time captain doesn’t like it when you mix your greys:

But, more importantly, he is moving on from his job as assistant coach at Amherst to a gig as special assistant to the GM for the Orlando Magic.

Florida may beckon with her lusty NASCAR tracks, but  Halas tells D3 Hoops he has a soft spot for the old ‘Cac league: “I’ve always highly respected the NESCAC…It’s a conference that is great at many things, not just athletics. It is what Division Three is all about; high academics, high character student-athletes.”
