Trin’s Binnie ’12 Achieves A First For Jamaican Squash

Chris Binnie has become the first Jamaican to win a Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title. According to The Jamaica Gleaner, he entered the British Virgin Islands Open with all of the self-assurance of a ‘Cac grad: “I was confident that I could do well. I have been training hard, so I knew I stood a good chance. You always have to be confident in your chances or it doesn’t make sense to even play.”

The Bantam–hardly a month into post-collegiate play–upset Frenchman Johan Bouquet to win the open. The Gleaner calls Binnie “Jamaica’s top player in recent years.”
