Midd’s Cramer ’12 ‘Cac’s Nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year
The NESCAC has announced Midd’s Margo Cramer ’12 as their nomination for the 2012 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Cramer was an active leader on the school’s cross country and both indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
In the course of her four seasons on the cross country team, the team earned three conference and two national championship titles.
Cramer was also a member of Midd’s indoor distance medley team, which repeated as NCAA champions this spring. In addition, she set a new NESCAC record in the steeplechase with her time of 10:28.66.
Cramer’s 3.7gpa and her campus involvement with the women’s resource center, with special attention to issues of sexual assault, established her as a well-rounded choice for the honor of the NESCAC’s nomination.
Last year’s nominee, Bowdoin’s Michaela Calnan ’11, was a top 9 finalist for the award.
