Get Your Suit Out, It’s Internship Season!

Ah the lazy days of summer! Sitting by the pool, popsicle dripping down your chin, Sperrys on your feet (though we do that all year round), water balloon fights and barbeques.

Or, you know, the pale grey walls of a cubicle, the faint smell of coffee and the alien sound of the copy machine. It’s internship season, baby. And nobody does internship season more broadly than we do in the ‘cac. From helping doctors in third world countries to staring at numbers at a bank in New York City to chasing down important government officials in Washington DC to innovating at a software company in the Silicon Valley, we love to intern. Last week, my mom and I drove from Seattle down to San Francisco in my “new” car; after seeing ¾ of the West Coast in one fell swoop, I can officially say I belong here, despite my ‘cac ties to the other coast. So here’s to a summer of innovation, crunching numbers, meeting deadlines, careful reading, winning intern contests, and boosting the stock of Starbucks.
