CockTales

In my three years in the ‘Cac, I’ve realized that a liberal arts education equips you with a strange blend of sociability, tenacity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. If you want something, you go and you get it. If there isn’t a club for XYZ, you start it. If they aren’t selling the right kid of vineyard vines apparel in the bookstore, you immediately talk to the manager and fix it immediately.

In short: ask, pester, and follow up, and ye shall receive.

The ‘Cac teaches you that you can be a voice of power and reason on campus and are able to tangibly make an impact during your (hopefully) four years. And so, with what I realize is a much more illustrious intro than it really needs, I present to you yet another entrepreneurial endeavor set to drop this coming year:

CockTales - A collection of the best drinks, games, traditions, and lore from Trinity College. According to the author, Perin Adams ’13,  her aim for the book is to, “create a comprehensive and fun guide to the history and life of Trinity College that’s informative and satirical while remaining remarkably tasteful.” Inspired by Birnbach’s “Preppy Handbook,” Adams’ project intertwines her interests in humor, design, and writing, and she stresses that “if you have a suggestion or want your team/club/room beverage/game of choice included” to “please send them in!”

Adams also stressed her interest in connecting with Trinity alumni/ae, so if you know any Bantams interested in contributing, send them her way!

To reserve your copy, or to send tips, suggestions, pictures,  and recipes, e-mail: TrinityCockTales@gmail.com.

Although I love the idea, I couldn’t help but make a mock up of my suggestion for the cover…

This is what it looks like, right?
