‘Cac Track
This past weekend our very own NESCAC schools represented us well at the NCAA Divison III Indoor Track and Field Championships. I was fortunate to catch the action on the live feed:
But for those of you that missed it, here’s the rundown (pun intended):
Overall, the women’s side saw two teams crack the top 10: Tufts came in 9th with Middlebury right behind in 10th place. On the men’s side, Bates also found itself in the scoring mix in 10th place.
The ‘Cac is also proud to announce its new All-Americans (8th place or better in an event):
Women
Middlebury senior Margo Cramer 4th in the Mile (after quite a tumble too!)
Bowdoin 8th in the 4x400m Relay
Middlebury 1st, Bates 8th in the Distance Medley Relay
Tufts senior Heather Theiss 6th in the Pole Vault
Williams junior Tanasia Hoffler 3rd, Tufts senior Nakeisha Jones 5th in the Triple Jump
Williams sophomore Amina Avril 4th, Tufts junior Kelly Allen 6th in the Weight Throw
Tufts sophomore Jana Hieber 3rd in the Pentathlon
Men
Colby junior Dominique Kone 1st in the 60m Dash
Tufts junior Jeff Marvel 5th in the 800m
Tufts senior Connor Rose 6th in the Mile
Middlebury senior Michael Schmidt 6th in the 5k
Bowdoin 1st, Bates 3rd, Middlebury 4th and Tufts 8th in the Distance Medley Relay
Bates junior David Pless 1st in the Shot Put
Bates junior David Pless 5th in the Weight Throw
