‘Cac Road Tripping: Thoughts from the Weekend

Nescac playoff basketball was in full swing this past weekend. I had the fortunate opportunity to find a ride to Amherst to watch my beloved Continentals take on the Lord Jeffs or whatever in the LeFrak Gymnasium. Seriously, what’s with you guys and names? Anyway, highlights of the day:

9 a.m. wake-up. After a sorority formal the previous night at Dibble’s Inn, I was less than ready to be awake.

10:30 a.m. Finally on the road. Responsible sober driving duo in the front, shenanigans in the back. Four loko cocktails, Twees, and BLLs for the ride. Live-tweeting all the way.

1:00 p.m. Arrive in Amherst, Mass. Shout-out to the Women’s Soccer Team for giving us a place to hang out. Haziness ensues.

4:00 Game-time. Might have been the excessive pre-game hydration exercises, but I could have sworn I walked right into a wigwam.

The likeness is astounding. Anyway, the Conts eventually fell 86-66, not without constant chants from our fan sections, many of which were directed at individual members of the Amherst cheering section directly across the floor. Thanks for having us, Amherst, we’ll see you next year.
