Want to support original (and good effing) music in the ‘Cac? Then get your just-outside-of-Boston self to Brighton Music Hall on Thursday to see Take Care play at 9. The band is led by brothers Kyle Joseph (Conn ’11) and Dan Joseph (Tufts ’14) and friend Dan Phelan. As if that’s not enough ‘Cac for you, their manager goes to WesTech.
Take Care’s January 12th performance marks the release of their album Somewhere Safe. In 2010 the demo to this album was listed in indierockcafe.com’s “Best New Releases” of Fall 2010 alongside Sufjan Stevens and Belle and Sebastian. The guys draw inspiration from Bon Iver, The Strokes, and Jeff Buckley…so you’ll love their sound.
We’ll have a full interview with the band soon, but for now follow them on Twitter @takecaremusic and hit up their website takecaremusic.com for downloads.
